“A Magical Time of Year for All of You:” A Holiday Message from Mr. Merrill

On behalf of everyone at Cook Children’s, we hope the holidays are a magical time of year for all of you. We hope you enjoy the beauty of the season with the people who are special to you.   We’re all very busy this time of year, but our wish for you is that you find opportunities to reconnect with one another and remember the things that are most important. 

And that is true not only for our own loved ones, but for the people we work alongside every day – our Cook Children’s family members. Every day, we count on one another– to share the workload, lift each other up on cloudy days, and celebrate when we succeed, because when one of us succeeds, we all do. 

That spirit of kindness, collaboration, generosity and respect, four of our core values, makes Cook Children’s such a special place and connects each one of us no matter our differing holiday traditions. We know how hard you work every day to connect those dots for our patient families, too. 

We see how you do everything for the child and care for them as you would your own. So as the year comes to a close, we hope that you are able to share kindness with a coworker and embrace that togetherness with each other. And be sure to take time for yourself and your families, to relax and to recharge for the year ahead.
