Beat the Heat Sweet Treat Events in August
Join us for fun, connection and a sweet treat to beat the heat in August! Employees at the following locations can enjoy a scoop of their favorite flavor of ice cream on the dates below. Ice cream will be served outside from various vendors.

Off-site Locations/Clinics and 100% Remote Teams
We’re providing leaders with an Inter-Department Transfer (IDT) amount of $8 per person to create their own summer treat event. Leaders, find an ice cream or snow cone truck in your area, bring in ice cream, have cookies or other treats catered or sent to your team. You can also come up with a theme, contest, game or activity for your event to add to the fun.
Department leaders will find a date and time that works best for their teams in the month of August. See the attached instructions and IDT form for how to order your treat and submit for reimbursement to your cost center - located under downloads at the top right of this page.

Create Your Own Cone Raffle
Staff can create their own ice cream cone using our new brand colors by printing out the template located under downloads (top right corner of this page). Take a picture of your creation and send to Amy.Smith@cookchildrens.org by the end of day on Monday, August 31 in order to be entered in the raffle to win a $5 Starbucks gift card. Five winners will be announced in a September edition of the Connect Newsletter.
Dress Up Raffle - Join Us for “Sprinkle Day”
Wear polka dots on the day of your sweet treat event and take a photo of yourself in your “sprinkles” to enter a raffle for your chance to win a $5 Starbucks gift card. Polka dot scrubs, shirts, pants, socks, headbands and other accessories all count as long as they are work appropriate.
Please submit your raffle entry by emailing your photo to Amy.Smith@cookchildrens.org by the end of day on Monday, August 31. Five winners will be announced in a September edition of the Connect Newsletter.
