Celebrate World Sepsis Awareness Day on September 13

Sepsis is the body's overwhelming response to an infection.
This year, two committees, the Cook Children’s Sepsis Committee and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee, have combined forces to connect the dots about sepsis by choosing the right antibiotics for the right patients at the right time.
We are making huge strides in our sepsis reduction goals. We want to say thank you to Dr. Javier Gelvez and the Sepsis Committee team members who are leading the way.
We've attached three documents at the top right of this article. Find out more about Cook Children’s outstanding sepsis work. You can complete a crossword or a word search – both with a special sepsis twist.
Email your completed word search puzzle to zeroharm@cookchildrens.org by Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023 to be entered into a drawing for a prize.
