Celebrating American Pharmacists Month and National Health-System Pharmacy Week

October is a special month for us as it is American Pharmacists Month, and highlights National Health-System Pharmacy Week which occurs in the middle of the month. As we celebrate, we would like to shine a light on the invaluable contributions of our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians here at Cook Children’s.
Our pharmacy professionals and their multifaceted roles play a pivotal part on our healthcare team that extends far beyond just dispensing medications, utilizing their expertise to provide exceptional services that lead to improved therapeutic approaches and outcomes for our patients. We now operate with 200+ staff working across the system, with locations in various settings, including multiple pharmacies, clinics, and inpatient units.
Our vision is to create integrated, comprehensive pharmacy services that drive best practices in pediatric medication management. We accomplish this by living our values of giving our B.E.S.T. with every dose, every time.
