Community Relations Events Recap: September 2022
Cook Children's Health Care System sponsors many community events in our service area. We have some amazing physicians and staff that have volunteered their time to support these community events. Here is a recap of recent events.
Celina Touch-a-Truck Event - September 17
Cook Children's partnered with City of Celina to have our Teddy Bear Transport ambulance out at their annual Touch-A-Truck event. We had an amazing turnout and was able to promote our CCPN physicians, UCC's and new medical center in Prosper to over 3,000 attendees. Center for Children's Health offered a car seat safety check booth and handed out drowning prevention to the community. We had great employee engagement at this event, Dr. Herrera and the staff from Windhaven, Dr. Alapati from Aubrey, Prosper Trail and Windsong site admins and members of our business development team represented Cook Children's and did a great job building new patient relationships in the community.
Grapefest Festival - September 15-18
Cook Children's partnered with City of Grapevine to sponsor the KidsZone at Grapefest this year. We had a great turnout at the 4-day festival. We promoted our CCPN primary care clinics, urgent care and medical center to thousands of festival attendees. Our Build-A-Bear had a full mobile shop open for the festival. Thank you to the over 40 employee volunteers for making this event successful!
Newborn Class Walsh Ranch - September 8
Dr. Singh from our Walsh clinic offered a newborn class to the residents of Walsh Ranch in their athletic club. This was a great event for new and expectant moms in the neighborhood. Dr. Singh gave education on what to expect, how to schedule a consultation and a CPR demonstration on an infant. The Center for Children's Health provided Safe Baby Sleep education, books and sleep sacks to attendees.
