Cook Children's Medical Center - Fort Worth Hosting Preparedness Workshop
Several law enforcement and government agencies will be at Cook Children’s Medical Center- Fort Worth on Friday, April 3 for an emergency preparedness workshop.
The workshop is part of a citywide effort to collaborate and strengthen relationships ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup.
Led by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the workshop will be a discussion-based tabletop exercise. Cook Children’s is proud to serve as the host for this event. Local, regional, state and federal participation is expected.
The Cook Children’s Veterans Group (CCVG) provides resources for those directly or indirectly impacted by the uncertainties of global conflict. Whether you or a family member faces a potential deployment, the CCVG is here to support you.

Seventh Avenue Southbound Closed until April 11
AT&T is conducting work on Seventh Avenue between Terrell Avenue and Pulaski Street. The southbound lane will be closed during this time. Recommended alternate is to use Sixth Avenue due to construction on Eighth Avenue.
Last Call: Presidents' Scholarship Applications Are Open
Applications are open for the 2026 Presidents' Scholarship program. This scholarship is open to dependent children of full-time and half-time Cook Children’s employees in good standing with a minimum of one year of eligible service from the date these applications are due.
