Investing in Our Team: Pay Adjustments in March 13 Paychecks
At the heart of our promise to children is the people who deliver it every day. In November we implemented pay adjustments for eligible nursing staff, along with the new nursing pay structure. The purpose of the pay review was to identify and address any compression concerns and/or other discrepancies in employee pay rates that lack substantiation. Individual pay adjustments were granted, where necessary, based on a review of validated Years of Experience (YOE) data. As a reminder, we are pleased to announce that we are now implementing individual pay adjustments for eligible non-nursing staff. Just as with the nursing pay adjustments, it’s important to note that each employee’s pay rate was reviewed for appropriateness and not everyone will receive a pay adjustment.
This represents a $13 million investment in our staff and reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation across every department. This is the first of several steps to ensure pay is appropriate. A market review is planned for this summer to ensure our pay rates remain competitive. As our organization continues to evolve, our goal is to create pay programs that are consistent, competitive and sustainable.

Mid-Year Check-ins with your Leader
We are now in the mid-year check-inphase of the performance and development process.
This is the opportunity for you and your leader to reflect on progress, align priorities and discuss any development needed for the remainder of the year. Your active participation is important to making these conversations meaningful and productive.
We ask that you prepare by:
Reflecting on your progress.
Review your goals/key responsibilities for the year.
Highlight the work you are most proud of and the impact it has had on your team, other departments and/or patients/families.
Discuss any challenges so far this year.
Detail any goal adjustments that need to be made.
Ask for feedback.
Use this information about your performance, so you can continue to strengthen your contributions.
Discuss what resources you need to be successful for the rest of year.
Discuss priorities and expectations for the rest of the year.
Mid-year check-ins are a combination of reflection on work accomplished to-date and future-focused priorities for the rest of year.Taking time to prepare will help make the conversation valuable for both you and your leader.

Your department is invited to the Bunny Trail 2026 patient event from 10:30 am. - noon on Thursday, April 2, at the Cook Children's Medical Center - Fort Worth. The first 20 applications will be guaranteed participation. Applications are due Monday, March 23.
