Cook Children’s - Prosper Named Best Hospital, Best Emergency Department By Readers

Round of applause, team! We were named the “Best Of” in two award categories from the readers of Living Magazine - Prosper & Celina:

• Best Hospital: Cook Children’s Medical Center - Prosper
• Best Emergency Department: Cook Children’s Prosper - Emergency Department

Like the cows that fly on the mural in our atrium, we’re over the moon! These awards exemplify our incredible teamwork every day, from the emergency department bay in the east to the Urgent Care in the west and everywhere in between.

Our medical center has seen thousands of patients. Thank you to our team for providing care to each of our patients and for your commitment to our values. 

Since opening in January 2023, the Emergency Department team has grown and our department has added space to care for more patients. We’re grateful to our ED team for providing world-class care to our patients who may be having one of their worst days.

Our team has been privileged to play a vital role in the lives of our patients and families in Prosper, Celina and beyond. Whether it’s a life-saving intervention or a moment of simple comfort, we've provided excellent care with kindness, respect, collaboration and safety for every patient who enters our world-class medical center.

Emergency Department Nurse Manager Brittanye Ehle says the staff is honored with the Readers' Choice award.

“Since our opening, we have doubled our staff, expanded our rooms and strengthened our connections with local EMS services, all in the pursuit of providing excellent care for our patients and their families," Ehle said. "This award reflects our dedication to serving our community with the highest standards of patient care, and we are incredibly grateful for the trust and support we have received. Being recognized by the community is a privilege and we look forward to continuing to provide compassionate, exceptional service.”
