Diane Arnaout, M.D., and Bianka Soria-Olmos, D.O., Accept Medical Advisor for Digital Health Roles

Over the course of the pandemic, trusted communication from medical professionals has become more important than ever. That’s why the mission of Checkup Newsroom is so vital for Cook Children’s and the families we serve. With more than four million views since March 2020, Checkup Newsroom serves as a one-stop shop for reliable information regarding COVID-19 and so many other topics affecting children.
Now, Checkup Newsroom welcomes new leadership to chart the future of the site. CCPN physicians Diane Arnaout, M.D., and Bianka Soria-Olmos, D.O., have accepted the roles of medical advisor for Digital Health. They will split the responsibilities of the medical director of Digital Health role previously held by Justin Smith, M.D., who was recently tapped to lead CCPN as a medical director.
Both Drs. Arnaout and Soria-Olmos are longtime contributors to Checkup Newsroom. As co-medical advisors, they will help guide the public relations team in creating effective pediatric content in both English and Spanish for Checkup Newsroom, as well as helping with overall social media strategy.
