Employee Flu Compliance Information 2024
Occupational Health has experienced a hiccup with our new Enterprise Portal and how employee flu vaccinations are documented. Right now, some employees are unable to see whether they have had their vaccination proof. We are working diligently to find a solution to this issue.
What employees need to know:
Your manager is going to have a list of employees and their flu vaccination status. Your manager will notify you if proof of your influenza vaccination is missing from the Occupational Health records.
If you are missing a flu vaccination, you must get it in the next week. Occupational Health is providing vaccination from 7 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday. You can also can also get a vaccine outside of Cook Children's (such as from a pharmacy or your own physician) and upload the proof through the Enterprise Portal.
Employees with an approved Flu Exemption should have received instructions to wear an FDA mask at work from October to March. Supervisors have been notified about their employees’ exemption as well as the requirement to wear respiratory protection from October to March.
The due date for vaccination was Oct 18. Staff members who are missing vaccination will be subject to corrective action.
By having your flu vaccines, you play a crucial role in safeguarding those who trust us to provide a safe environment during their time with us. Your choice to protect yourself from the flu not only reduces the likelihood of transmission to vulnerable patients and visitors but also minimizes the spread of illness among your fellow team members.
