Erin Loftus Recognized As Child Life Specialist of the Month

Congratulations to Erin Loftus, child life specialist in the Hematology/Oncology clinic, for being named the March Child Life Specialist by Luke's FastBreaks, a nonprofit that supports children, adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer or chronic/extended illnesses.

Erin was nominated by 7-year-old Makenzie Chapa, who was diagnosed with Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) in April 2021. What makes this award even more special is that March is Child Life Month!

Through our various communications channels, including Connect Newsroom, Internal Communications shares and promotes the awards/recognition that Cook Children’s earns (organizationally, departmentally, and individually) from external associations and from internal programs, such as Peak Performers and DAISY awards.
