Important FY 23 Care Share Update

We have some big news for you and hopefully you'll see it as a little moment for magic! Some of you may have heard about this during our Town Hall Meetings on Oct. 26, but just in case not, we want to be sure you have all of the details.

A few years ago, we established our Care Share program, which is a financial reward that employees can receive when the health care system receives favorable survey ratings from our patients and families.

Specifically, we look at the percentage of patient families who tell us they would recommend Cook Children's to others, which is a strong indicator of how much they trust us with their care. For fiscal year 2023, our "likelihood to recommend" goal was 86%, and we achieved a score of 86.1%!!!! This is reason for celebration.

We are pleased to announce that all eligible employees will receive their Care Share bonus (up to $500) on their Nov. 10th paycheck.

You may recall that the Health Plan is measured a little differently for Care Share. Their bonus is based on how Health Plan members rate the Health Plan experience.

While our Health Plan was just shy of meeting its goal of 73.5%, we know that sometimes, numbers do not tell the entire story. We understand that every year brings with it unique challenges, and we want to also recognize the hard work and commitment of all of our Health Plan employees.

We are pleased to announce all Health Plan employees will receive a 50% Care Share payout as a one-time exception to our all-or-none policy. Health Plan employees will receive their bonus on their Nov. 10 paycheck, too.

Congratulations on earning your Care Share 2023 payout! You connected, collaborated, and elevated the experiences for our patients, families, members, and the scores are the result of your hard work.
