Introducing Supplier Invoice Requests

Say goodbye to paper check requests, the Accounts Payable check request process will be moved into Workday on Tuesday, May 5. The manual Word form for check requests is officially retiring. The new process will be migrated into Workday for faster processing and real-time tracking. Look for the new "Supplier Invoice Request" task in your Workday search bar next month.

*This does not affect the normal invoice submission process, only payment requests that do not have a typical invoice*

Starting Tuesday, May 5, the manual Word-based check request form is retiring and moving directly into Workday. This change, known as the Supplier Invoice Request (SIR), is designed to give you more control, better tracking, and faster processing.

What’s Changing?

We’ve listened to your feedback regarding the paper-heavy manual process. The new Workday SIR process replaces the old PDF/Word forms with a digital, streamlined experience.

  • Real-Time Tracking: No more wondering if your check request was received. You can now see exactly where your request is in the approval chain.
  • Digital Accuracy: Mandatory fields and required attachments ensure your request is complete the first time, reducing "send-backs" and delays.
  • Simplified Routing: The system automatically knows who needs to approve your request based on your cost center, which means no more searching for signature hierarchies.

Key Features to Look For:

  • The "+" Add Button: Easily split one request across multiple cost centers or spend categories.
  • Inbox Alerts: Receive immediate notifications if AP needs more information or once your payment has been processed.

The new form will be live starting Tuesday, May 5, simply type "Create Supplier Invoice Request" in your Workday search bar to begin.  The final day to submit manual Word forms to the OB scanning team is Friday, May 15. After this date, all requests must be submitted through Workday.
