Dr. NedrelowJonathan Nedrelow, M.D., has agreed to take the role of Associate Chief Medical Officer of Cook Children's Health Care System. Dr. Nedrelow will assume his new position in July of this year, in order to allow for transition of his clinical duties.

“Cook Children’s Health Care System continues to grow and has become increasingly complex.  We have seen continued growth in patient volumes and services at the main campus, as well as throughout our regional clinics.  And now, we have a new campus in Prosper with continued expansion of services there and a new hospital to open late this year,” wrote Jim Cunningham, M.D., executive vice president and chief medical officer at Cook Children's.  “To assist with leadership in these System initiatives, Dr. Jonathan Nedrelow has agreed to join us.”

Dr. Nedrelow has been with Cook Children’s since June 2004.  After doing his Pediatric Residency at Duke, he completed his Neonatology Fellowship at Yale.  Since joining our medical staff, he has proven himself to be an outstanding clinician, teacher, and researcher.

He has also distinguished himself as an outstanding leader and has served as Medical Director of Neonatology, Medical Director of Cook Children’s Teddy Bear Transport System, Chair of System Credentials Committee, President of the Professional Staff, Chair of Board Quality Committee, and many other committee and leadership positions.  He has served our greater community as Chair of the Perinatal Committee for the North Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council, and has been a tireless advocate for maternal and infant health care issues.
