Kaysey Pollan Earns Regional Service Excellence Award for Mass Casualty Exercise
We're incredibly proud that one of our own has been honored with the Regional Service Excellence award by the North Central Texas Council of Governments!
This award recognizes the outstanding work Kaysey Pollan, our Director of System Preparedness and Continuity, and her colleagues put into the September 2024 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Mass Casualty Exercise. This wasn't just any exercise; it was a huge collaboration with all five Fort Worth area hospitals, the Fort Worth Fire Department, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, MedStar Health, North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council (NCTTRAC), and the City of Fort Worth Office of Emergency Management. They simulated a building collapse during the Stock Show, with hundreds of injuries.
The dedication of our team helped make this the largest mass casualty exercise ever held in Fort Worth. We're so proud to have Kaysey representing Cook Children's Health Care System with such a significant honor!
