VIDEO: Prosper Launch Parties for Employee Resource Groups

Our launch parties for the new Employee Resource Group program at Cook Children's are a hit. Hundreds of employees gathered in Prosper on Tuesday, Sept. 19, to learn more about the four ERGs and to sign up to participate.  Attendees danced to music provided by a DJ, picked up special t-shirts, and posed for photos. Please join us for two more ERG parties at Cook Children's Medical Center-Fort Worth: 

11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. AND 7-9 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 21 
Decker Boardroom near Hochberger Auditorium 
(Please make your way to the bottom of the stairs and you’ll see the festivities.)

Joining an ERG provides employees a chance to connect, network, share ideas, learn from one another, foster a sense of inclusion and gain visibility with senior management.  Cook Children’s has four ERGs: 
Black/African American (BAA+) 
Latinos Engaging, Advancing, Developing & Supporting (L.E.A.D.S.+) 
Pride+ 
Veterans+ 

This is just the beginning. More ERGs are planned in the future. 

Employees may participate either as a member of the specific group or as an ally.  You can join more than one ERG. Participation is completely voluntary. 

Here's how to sign up on ULearn 

Joining is easy: 
You can use a QR code on a mobile device that will take you to ULearn. The same QR code is used for all the ERGs. 

Or, you can go straight to ULearn. In the search bar, type in “Employee Resource Groups.” (Do not use the acronym ERG.) 

1. Click on Employee Resource Group (ERG) Sign Up. 
2. Click the blue box labeled Launch. 
3. On the next page click Continue. 
4. The next page will allow you to click to join any of the ERGs. You'll indicate if you are a part of the specific demographic or if you are joining as an ally or supporter.
