Peak Performer: Lindsey Laskey
claims analyst I, Claims
Lindsey was a Peak Performer recipient for the third quarter of 2022 (April-June). Below is her nomination letter.
Beginning in late February through the end of April 2022, the Health Plan at Cook Children’s was under construction and reconfiguration as we consolidated our Operations from two floors to one here at Calmont. As we all know, moves and construction can be wearing. This time around, there was a secret tool I didn't even know we had… Lindsey Laskey! Lindsey has been an absolute joy to work with in the last six months since she started, and has taken a lot of initiative in helping with the move for the Claims Department from the 3rd to the 2nd floor. She packed and unpacked all the backlogged claims paperwork and file cabinets and loaded them onto the moving cart all on her own. This was at least 12-14 bankers’ boxes, going well above her job description.
Once moved to the 2nd floor, Lindsey set up the new Health Plan Fulfillment Center in an organized fashion, with very little direction needed and without hesitation or complaint. It was so refreshing and such a relief to have the help with such a big project. Lindsey has also taken initiative with several other operational issues after the move, such as troubleshooting computer monitor setup issues, phones that needed extra attention to function, and helping her coworkers get their desks set up properly that may have gone unaddressed or unnoticed. I really enjoy Lindsey's can-do attitude and commitment to teamwork. She shows signs of becoming a strong leader in her career.
