Magnet Month Award 2022: Mentor of the Year
Below are the nominations for Leigh Brown, RN and case manager for Health Plan - Star Kids Case Management, recipient of the Mentor of the Year Award.
Leigh is the definition of a mentor. She goes above and beyond to make sure her coworkers have the guidance and assistance they need. Leigh is always available to answer questions or help her team at a moment’s notice. She is the most selfless person I know and is such a valuable asset to the MDCP STAR Kids team.
Leigh is an awesome mentor. She is always willing to help out and answer questions. She has been a great preceptor as well as a friend to me. She serves as a role model of what it means to be a great service coordinator. Leigh is an awesome trainer and is well respected and loved by all of her coworkers and her members.
Leigh is an amazing trainer/mentor. She is never too tired or too busy to help or answer any questions while training. Leigh goes above and beyond to solve any issues within the job and will take extra time to explain anything to mentors. I am delighted to work with Leigh and would love to see her win this award.
Leigh Brown is an awesome mentor. She is very patient, knowledgeable, honest, candid, a good listener/sounding board and willing to devote time to developing others, and is always available and flexible. She is very approachable and is nonjudgmental even if you ask the same question more than once when there is so much to learn and process.
