Meet Kaylan Branson, Director of Nursing Quality and Magnet Program
Kaylan Branson, RN, MSN, has accepted the promotion to the director of Nursing Quality and Magnet Program. Kaylan has been a growing leader within our organization since she joined our nurse residency program in 2011. Since that time she has worked as staff nurse, charge nurse, and preceptor on 4 Pavilion (TCU/RCU). In 2017 she was promoted to the clinical nurse leader role, co-leading efforts to facilitate family discharge, research and evidence-based practice projects, patient and staff engagement and improving patient care outcomes. She was a member of the 4NT team submitting and receiving the American Association of Critical Care Beacon Award (silver recognition).
She has had numerous poster and podium presentations for her participation in work related to the boot camp discharge innovation, achievement of quality goals, use of a Gemba Board, trach care and partnership with clinical leaders and educators to improve patient care and nurse satisfaction.
Kaylan completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2011 from Tarleton State University, Master of Science in Nursing Education in 2016 from the University of Texas in Arlington, and Clinical Nurse Leader post-graduate certificate in 2019. Kaylan is enrolled in a Doctorate of Nursing program at the University of Texas Medical Branch with a projected graduation of May 2024.
She shall transition from her CNL role on 4NT to her new role on April 24. Please join us in congratulating Kaylan!
