Meet Manny: The Volunteer Support Dog for Employees

On a regular basis, this volunteer duo brings smiles (and fun tricks!) to employees, patients and families at Cook Children’s. What Manny lacks in size, he makes up for in heart. Visits with Cheryl and Manny help all of us take a pause and feel an unconditional love that serves as a great refresher for the day.Each one of our volunteers plays a vital role in creating a one-of-a-kind experience at Cook Children's. They volunteer in direct patient care placements at a child’s bedside, in playrooms, and in surgery recovery, or in helping hands placements like the gift shop, children’s library, hospitality cart, wayfinding, and more.
