We Honor our Doctors on National Women Physician Day

It's National Women's Physicians Day! Today, we're honoring the path that female doctors have paved since 1849, when Elizabeth Blackwell became the first woman in the United States to earn a medical degree.

Across Cook Children's Health Care System we have 300 female physicians which represents 58% of our physician population! We are so grateful for our outstanding group of female physicians who continue to provide exceptional care for children and families each day.
