Our Social Workers Across Cook Children's

March is Social Work Month, and this year the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) theme says it best: “Social Workers: Uplift. Defend. Transform.” At Cook Children's Medical Center, our social workers live out that calling every day.

From Case Management Department, where social workers help families plan a safe and successful discharge… to Behavioral Health and Psych Services, where they support children navigating emotional and mental health challenges… to our CARE Team, ensuring every child’s social and emotional needs are part of their care plan… to the Trauma Department helping families heal after difficult experiences… and through Cook Children’s Health Plan Service Coordination, connecting members to vital resources — social workers are there.

Sorry my msg was cut short. I loved working at Cook and can honestly say that the 10 yes at Cook were the best in my working life. I am so proud of David Hollar and how far he has come, from a security officer to manager of security to director of security services. Great job David.
