Peak Performer: Angie McCarty, RN

Angie has been recognized in the past for her dedication to our department, but my new leadership role has given me an opportunity to see how Angie has gone above and beyond to meet the needs of our clinic, her own clinic and how she can truly best serve the department as a whole. She is often one of the first ones here and one of the last ones going home. Angie has worked tirelessly to provide safe and excellent patient care despite staffing situations within her clinic and has stepped up to help us cover our clinic as well. It is no doubt that she has been a strong leader and resource through these unprecedented COVID times.  

There are several examples of Angie's leadership and advocacy for patient care excellence to limit to just one example. She is willing to help in any instance from being the department point of contact for patient registration for COVID screening, speaking with parents when other staff are helping other patients, providing coverage to fill the greatest needs within the department, sharing resource staff so that another clinic does not have to work short-staffed when she is able and just listening supportively to all of her colleagues.
