Peak Performer: Sandra Lassiter

Sandra was a Peak Performer recipient for the fourth quarter of 2021 (July-September). Below is her nomination letter.
We have been seeing unprecedented volumes in urgent care for the last few weeks. Parents are lining up with lawn chairs 2 hours before opening waiting to register and be seen in the urgent care. In order to help get people registered faster, Sandra has been taking a computer on wheels out to the line (while in PPE) and completing registration each day.
Many times it takes her several hours to get through the crowd before she can come back in and resume normal registration processes. She does it kindly and willingly every day.
Sandra is also the person that is at the front door to calm frustrated and angry parents who have waited many times 3-4 hours to be seen. She is an advocate for our families and for the staff who are safely trying to see as many patients as possible.
She greets every EMS team and gets them to the correct room. We could not do our jobs without her.
