Peak Performer: Carly Witulski

Nurse Practitioner

Summary

Carly  was a Peak Performer recipient for the fourth quarter of 2022 (July-September). Below is her nomination letter.

CARLY WITULSKI, MSN, NP-C PhotoOur oncology team recently went through an extremely difficult time. Between the continuous loss of patients and staff, the job can become overwhelming; however, Carly is one of our nurse practitioners (NP) that has shown up every day with a positive attitude. She takes busy days in stride and helps to take comprehensive care of her patients, always ensuring patient safety as well as overall health. Carly is extremely loved by many of our patients and their families, as well as our staff.

With the departure of one of our staff members who had a large workload, there were numerous tasks left to be covered or completed. Even though Carly is an NP for our Adolescent/ Young Adult population, she has stepped up and helped to cover for our patients who are part of our younger population. She is adding patients to her already busy schedule, stepping in to help sign chemotherapy when needed, and is open to answering any and all questions that arise from our nursing staff. Carly continues to agree to see additional patients that have been admitted without hesitation, even though this adds to her workload.

Her willingness to help out in any way she can is extremely admirable. I needed help putting in a therapy plan for one of our pediatric patients, and she immediately jumped up to help me, willing to do whatever she could. Her smile and positive attitude is such a bright light in days that can be so difficult and we are so appreciative of everything she does for all of our oncology patients and staff.
