Peak Performer: Christi Tennison

Christi was a Peak Performer recipient for the fourth quarter of 2021 (July-September). Below is her nomination letter.
Christi is a tremendous asset to the Dermatology Department and Cook Children’s. Over the past 18+months she has gone above and beyond to not only ensure her clinic was staffed, trained, and ready to care for patients, but also provided support virtually and in-person to Primary Care, Multi-Specialty/Urgent Care and Dodson Clinics, which allowed Dermatology to assist other departments experiencing
staffing shortages. When her own clinic has been short-staffed, she has easily stepped in to cover phones, patient rooming and various procedures.
In the past year, Christi has overseen the implementation of two new procedures in the clinic—Phototherapy and Patch Testing. These procedures are not provided anywhere else in the Fort Worth area and have increased Cook’s ability to provide quality care to our patients and also increased the clinic's overall revenue. Christi constantly works to improve clinical operations and has definitely gone above and beyond while accomplishing this during the COVID Pandemic.
