Peak Performer: Colleen West

Colleen was a Peak Performer recipient for the third quarter of 2022 (April-June). Below is her nomination letter.
Colleen has implemented several new processes for the Sterile Processing department to improve patient safety with the application they use. She exceeds expectations in her role as she is willing to take on the task of creating documentation to help staff with knowledge of the applications that our team supports.
When the Vocera admin of more than 15 years departed Cook Children’s in February, Colleen volunteered to take on the duties of Vocera admin. She has mastered the complex environment in just a few months, along with her other workload and projects.
Vocera is complex and has four different systems that all interact to make Vocera 'work'. Not only has she mastered those areas, but she has also navigated critical issues like network and inventory clean-up. As we migrate to new badges and new network settings, she has been on top of all issues before they become outages.
Colleen is deserving of this Peak Performer award for her outstanding leadership, knowledge and friendliness to provide the utmost customer service to Cook Children's staff.
