Peak Performer: Heidi Dammen

During a recent BI upgrade, I was designated as an on-call testing member. Around 9 p.m., I jumped on a testing call to aid in the work. After encountering multiple issues, I was unable to proceed as I didn’t have the experience to resolve the conflicts. Around 10:30 p.m., I realized I was going to have to ask for help, and due to the late hour, I was hesitant to reach out to my team members. Heidi got out of bed, logged onto her computer, and worked with me for the next 45 minutes resolving the issues with no questions asked and with a positive spirit. I would not have been able to successfully close the testing session without her, and I cannot stress enough the importance of her time and help. Cook Children's is lucky to have such an awesome team member, and I wanted to recognize her as a Peak Performer. She certainly deserves it! 

​Following the evening of the testing debacle Heidi had assisted me with until almost midnight, I logged into my computer to find an email from a customer reaching out to me for assistance. Heidi was well-versed in this area, and she handled the customer's needs efficiently and professionally without me even asking. She took time out of her day to assist a coworker on her own initiative, and once again I say Heidi is an outstanding team member!
