Peak Performer: Kameron Beckerich, BSN, RN

nurse manager, 5 North Tower

Summary

Kameron was a Peak Performer recipient for the second quarter of 2022 (January-March). Below is his nomination letter.

KAMERON BECKERICH, BSN, RN PhotoKameron has been the biggest help and one of the strongest supporters for 3P RNs. As the COVID unit, we are expected to take any and all diagnoses which includes Hematology/Oncology patients.

We have recently gone through a huge influx of H/O patients and Kameron has been there for us every step of the way. I am not a chemo certified RN, but I am still taking care of some H/O patients and every day I am here, Kameron greets me by name, asks how I am, and what he can do to help. He takes the time to check on my patients, talking through their chemo plans, explaining extra orders that are H/O specific, and answers all my questions each and every time. I am quite certain that every day he works as a manager he is also on 3P helping at the bedside. His positivity and daily presence has made a huge difference in our morale while taking care of this vulnerable, specialized population.

He is one of the best managers and RNs this hospital has! Kameron goes above and beyond for his patients and Cook Children’s. He is thorough in his communication of what to expect and always available as a resource if questions arise or there are any concerns. I feel confident caring for this patient population knowing we have Kameron’s support and assistance. He is so patient, so thorough, and VISIBLE.
