Peak Performer: Kimberly Davies, NP/PA
NP/PA, Prosper Urgent Care Clinic
Kimberly was a Peak Performer recipient for the second quarter of 2022 (January-March). Below is her nomination letter.
Kim is an excellent example of a caring provider. She listens to our patients and gives them individualized care. With all of her patients, she goes above and beyond to meet the needs of each of them. She has multiple compliments from our feedback systems describing her care as:
- "Genuine, concern and compassion"
- "She is a joy"
- "Exceptional, caring staff"
- "Kind, patient, compassionate and a great communicator"
- "Absolutely Amazing"
The recognition she receives for her care, even during the high census with COVID, shows her dedication to providing the best care for our patients.
Kim goes one step above just treating our patients with kindness and respect. She treats our clinical staff the same. She is never afraid to jump into action to help the nurses on the floor. The nursing staff is often minimal and Kim does not rush staff, she is appreciative of their help and willing to do things herself. When nurses are busy with other patients, Kim takes her own follow-up vital signs or swabs her own patients for strep, COVID, etc. She has no problem cleaning rooms and helping in any way she possibly can even when it is not her role.
During one particularly short-staffed shift, Kim even grabbed our orthopedic cart and splinted her own patient knowing she is able to complete the skill and it would help our nurses as well as helping the patients. Kim not only does these tasks to help our staff, but she does it with a smile. She has been training new APPs and the example she is setting for them is exactly the behavior all providers within Cook Children System should aspire to. The strong commitment to teamwork Kim shows every day deserves to be recognized.
