Peak Performer: Laura Moneymaker
UM/ECM- RN Reviewer, Care Management Utilization-HP
Laura was a Peak Performer recipient for the fourth quarter of 2021 (July-September). Below is her nomination letter.
Laura came to the UM department as an RN Reviewer in the middle of a pandemic, during the implementation of a new system, and one of the first RN’s to train remotely. Laura had no experience with Outpatient but was eager to print every policy and procedure to become acclimated to her new role.
Her dedication to learning the role and advocating for Members and their families is extraordinary. Laura has consistently been the “cheerleader” for her team members and will provide a quick laugh or funny story. Even while working remotely, she finds small tasks and simple favors to make her teammate's day just a little bit easier. Laura’s willingness to go above and beyond for her team has not gone unnoticed.
She quickly became the distributor for her team, who is responsible for assigning cases daily. Laura’s strive for fairness and dedication to her team and business needs was evident when she would consistently assign cases to herself and work late to ensure all needs were met. More recently, a completely different team that processed authorizations outside of their norm was short-staffed and Laura jumped in without hesitation to lend a hand on processes they were not familiar with. Laura is a valued member of the team and will do everything she can to support her team.
