Peak Performer: Stephanie Gee, RN

Stephanie has been a stand-out service coordinator with Star Kids since day one of orientation. Not only does she provide excellent care to her members but she also completes all target requirements ahead of time and her documentation is excellent.  An excellent team player, she is always willing to help others with problems and is the first to volunteer to cover for someone who is out on PTO. As her supervisor, she makes my job easy and is well respected and admired by her peers.

​A parent of a medically fragile child that Stephanie manages recently contacted me to sing her praises. Recently and unexpectedly, this mother’s son was granted Medicare as a young adult and she felt unprepared to navigate the complexity of that change. For months, Stephanie helped her navigate the new processes and held her hand through all the frustrations. From finding therapy companies, finding supply companies, reaching out to help her understand the process between Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare parts A, B, C and D…the list is absolutely endless. When she couldn’t find an answer, she found someone who could and used her contacts to help the mother get her son’s medication on time and affordable.
