Peak Performer: Veronica Casteel

Veronica always goes above and beyond to take care of our surgical patients.  Recently we had a patient that was unsatisfied with another department.  The mom continuously called our office to run interference for the other department.  Where many clinics would tell the mom to call the other department, Veronica took care of the patient and the family even though it was not our issue.  At the end of the day, although the mom was extremely upset with this other department, she had nothing but glowing things to say about Prosper Pediatric surgery.  That is all due to Veronica's involvement.

I recently began to understand that Veronica goes above and beyond in her job as my medical assistant.  She calls patients whenever she receives messages in my Epic inbox, she assists with procedures in the clinic, she schedules my surgeries in Prosper and in Fort Worth, she does Covid testing for my surgical patients when needed, and helps contact patient's for preauthorization when needed.

She is an absolute gem and I could not effectively do my job without her. Having her on my team is instrumental to why my patient satisfaction scores are so high.
