Peak Performer: Whitney Stauffer

clinic nurse (RN), Pediatric Urology

Summary

Whitney was a Peak Performer recipient for the fourth quarter of 2022 (July-September). Below is her nomination letter.

WHITNEY STAUFFER, BSN, RN PhotoWhitney has significantly stepped up since the Urology department does not have a clinical coordinator and she has quickly become the go-to person for clinical staff.  Whitney does not hesitate to stay late or come to work early to get work done. With the departure of our Clinical Coordinator, Whitney has assumed greater responsibilities of value within our clinical team. She supports both the nurses and medical assistants in whatever way she can. This includes coverage during lunches, helping with workload/daily tasks, and adjusting her work schedule to meet the needs of our providers. With the unexpected loss of one of our physicians, Whitney has provided support to the clinical team in viewing provider schedules on how we can best ensure that patient care continues to be provided to our patient families. During this challenging time she has displayed calmness and a sense of teamwork.

Whitney began to attend clinical meetings that were not previously part of her role. Specifically, as our team continues to implement the in room check out process, Whitney attends these bi-weekly meetings and works closely with the clinical team to help ensure we are prepared for our move into the Dodson building in April 2023. She is trusted and respected by our team and by our providers. We are very thankful to have Whitney as a part of our clinical team and the positive presence she portrays with our patient families!
