Prosper News Update (July 22, 2026)

Good afternoon Prosper family,

Welcome to Summer or the resurgence of it! Please make sure that you stay hydrated and safe in this heat. We are headed straight into “back to school” very soon, your leadership team wishes you all to wrap up summer safely and having the most fun with your families. We have events coming up shortly in Prosper, we will have our very own Benefits Fair with more details coming soon and we will begin our employee survey Aug. 4. Please take a look at the timetable for survey completion if you want to go into a private space to fill it out. Also, see the following graphic which discusses what the system and organization has done to address feedback from the last survey. We appreciate your feedback and want to continue to work together to make Cook Children’s better! Stop by the Hospital Atrium for the Christmas in July party - Nothing Bundt Cakes will be onsite Friday, July 24 from 10-12.

Resuscitation Management Policy 177

As we provide care to patients throughout the campus, we will have times when we need to call for help. Please do not respond to these types of events unless you are the designated team. I know that many of you want to help but this creates an over abundance of people and does create an audience effect, which is not what we want to portray to our families. Please see the link to MCP 177 to determine if your role dictates a need to respond. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Small Lungs, Big Impact: Respiratory Education Event

Supporting Babies Through Milk Donation

The Nutrition Lab has partnered with Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Texas to become the first collection site for milk donations in Prosper. This service allows for breastfeeding mothers in our community to donate their extra milk to help babies in need. If you or someone you know is interesting in becoming a milk donor, please contact the Clinical Nutrition department for more information about the screening and donation process.

We are excited to share that we received our very first milk donation on July 3, 2026.

A special thank you to our Clinical Nutrition team for their outstanding work in bringing this program to Prosper.
