Good morning Prosper family, We are headed right into Spring and with that comes the weather, please be safe this week with the storms rolling in. Friday is Employee Appreciation Day, and we will have a little treat for you. Your team and the community appreciate each one of you and the talent you bring to the organization. It takes all of us to provide a wonderful experience for our patients and families and YOU contribute to that experience. If you are scheduled for a mask fit this week, please make sure you are on time and that you attend your appointment. Next week is Patient Safety Awareness Week and we will be having activities and rounding! There will also be grand rounds next week with breakfast and pizza lunch on Thursday for a quality quick topic! We are excited to share more about patient safety with you all! New Volunteer Opportunities: Spring Community Events  Spring is here and we have a lot of community events planned for North Texas. These events are a great opportunity for you to market your practice, get some volunteers hours in and have fun with your family and co-workers. Please sign up at any of the event links below. We are so excited to be the Title Sponsor of the Celina Touch a Truck Event for 2026. We will have Teddy Bear Transport Ambulance at our booth along with fun giveaways for the kids. March is Social Work Month! We honor our dedicated Prosper Social Workers in March for Social Work Month. They play a vital role in our patients and family's lives. Our social workers help navigate complex issues, advocate for change and social needs, support children facing mental health challenges, provide trauma support, and care coordination throughout the Prosper Medical Center. It’s Almost Time for Slime Cook Children's Slime-A-Doc 2026 will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 30, on the South Tower Lawn at Medical Center-Fort Worth to celebrate National Doctors’ Day. Visit this CookNet site to place your vote for which physician, nurse, family support service team member, leadership team member, advanced practice provider, social worker, volunteer and “wild card” participant you want to see covered in slime. Voting ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 13. Keep an eye on Cook Children's social media accounts – the ballot will be released there as well. Don't forget to share with your friends and family so they can vote too! |

Community Health Needs Assessment The Cook Children’s Community Health Needs Assessment Survey was recently shared with area families. This survey is given annually and meant to help us gather information to allow us to better fulfill our System Promise - to improve the well-being of every child in our care and communities. If a parent or guardian has questions about this survey, please encourage them to participate. Their participation allows us to learn more about the needs within our community. Pump Interoperability Survey You are invited to complete a short survey in preparation of pump interoperability go live on March 10. This survey should take approximately 5 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous. The feedback you share with us will help us better understand your current use of Alaris IV pumps and gauge readiness for go-live. Cook Children’s Peer Support ProgramThe Peer Support Program aims to strengthen a culture of connection, care and emotional well-being among our team. Peer supporters are fellow employees who volunteer to be there when someone needs to talk. Training for the Peer Support Program will be held from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on March 30.
