Prosper Updates
Oct. 7, 2026

Good afternoon Prosper family,

Autumn is here, bringing crisp, cool weather and beautiful sunshine! As we count down to our upcoming Boo Bash, make sure to get costume ready. A big thank you to our amazing Pediatric Nurses—we hope you enjoyed today's coffee and hot cocoa bar! Everyone is invited to partake in the beverages. We truly appreciate everything you do.

Our food drive for LovePacs is in full swing. Thanks to all who have contributed. This week, we're collecting jelly (plastic containers only). Let's keep the momentum going, fill those bins, and support our community!

Remember to get your flu shot or have your exemption accepted by Oct. 23.

Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship CompletionEvidence Based Practice Fellowship Completion 2026

Please join us in congratulating Jennifer Brannum and Lauryn Goff for their completion of TCU's Evidence-Based Practice Fellowship!

Launched under the Health Innovation Institute at TCU’s Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences, this fellowship required Jennifer and Lauryn to complete a year-long program designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to translate research and best evidence into measurable improvements in patient care, clinical outcomes and healthcare processes.

In order to complete the course, they had to:

  1. Formulate a practice question (PICOT)
  2. Conduct a literature search

  3. Critically appraise and synthesize evidence

  4. Develop recommendations and an implementation plan

  5. Implement and evaluate a project

  6. Establish a dissemination plan

If you see Jennifer or Lauryn, please join us in giving them a warm congratulations on their accomplishment!

American Heart Association Certification Expiration

Cook Children's follows the AHA standard in that certifications are valid for 24 months after the date of certification. This includes BLS, PASL and ACLS. Regardless of the date your card notes for renewal, Cook Children's recommends following the 24 month protocol.

Fall Community Relations Volunteer OpportunitiesVolunteers Needed-1

It may not feel like autumn yet but our fall events for Community Relations are around the corner. As we go out into our communities in our north market, we have something for everyone this year. Look at the events and volunteer to come represent Cook and share help us share our story about the services we provide to the community. If you have a teenager in your life that needs volunteers these are great events for them to come serve with us. Bring your families for some fall fun.
