Put Your Crutches to Good Use! Donate New or Gently Used Aluminum Crutches

Due to the global supply chain crisis and ongoing shortage of aluminum, Cook Children’s is among the many health care organizations unable to receive crutches.

Cook Children’s is managing the current situation and planning ahead by hosting a two-week community drive for new or gently used aluminum crutches of any size. The donated crutches will go through similar safety inspection and sanitation processes as other equipment used in the hospital, such as walkers and wheelchairs, to ensure each pair is clean, operational and safe to use.

As we have seen over and over again, we have an incredible community to lean on together in times of need. Thank you for your continued support and collaboration, so that we can serve our patients and families.
