VIDEOS: Roadmap for Children’s Mental Health
As a result of growing mental health concerns that children and youth are facing, the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Task Force has focused on bringing increased attention for mental health care and suicide prevention for children and youth. Clear, cohesive messaging to better inform and support caregivers about mental health and suicide was a top priority.
The Roadmap for Children’s Mental Health: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers is a video series created to help caregivers navigate this complex, yet increasingly common community health issue. The video series consists of three videos that highlight experiences from a clinician as well as caregivers with lived experience. The videos and a web page also provide some resources to those who may find themselves in similar situations. The hope for this series is to help reduce stigma around mental health and promote good conversations between adults and children.
