Training for New Contract Worker System RightSourcing - May 13 and 14

RightSourcing logo

Cook Children's is implementing a program to help manage our contract workers more efficiently. We’ve partnered with RightSourcing, a contingent workforce management firm, to manage hiring, timecards, payroll, and other services for contractors and temporary workers.

This new process will be phased in, with the first update happening this month. Starting on May 17, managers will request any new contingent workers using Magnit VMS, RightSourcing’s web-based tool for requisitions, time and expense reporting, and approvals. Requests for statement of work (SOW) workers will begin in late June. (Please note, Medix has chosen not to join RightSourcing and can no longer be used once their contractors finish their current assignments.)

By transitioning to this new process, we aim to automate the hiring process to reduce manual data entry and paperwork, cutting out extra steps so you can get your work done faster. This change will also help cut costs for outside staffing and provide a better view of who is working and how much we are spending. Please review the attached FAQ for more details about RightSourcing.

Online Training

To orient managers who have contingent workers, two virtual training sessions are scheduled in May to provide an overview of RightSourcing and Magnit VMS.

The training will cover how to submit a job posting for contingent workers, the process for receiving resumes and scheduling interviews, on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, how to approve time and business expenses, generating reports, and co-employment mitigation.
