'Truly Superheroes': Thank You to Our Information Services Team!

download

heroesWe know you are all incredibly busy and have been working since the early morning hours, but we want to let our Information Services team know we appreciate all you are doing for us, our patients and their families.

We see you and we value you the incredible work that has gone into troubleshooting, rebooting and stabilizing systems during this global technology outage.

“Our IT leaders and staff have been phenomenal,” said Veronica Tolley, Vice President of Primary and Specialty Services. “They moved through so quickly and leadership communication was early and thorough. They were truly superheroes … and avoided a total fiasco.”

You all have lived our values. Since 1 a.m. Friday morning, you all have collaborated and shown incredible generosity to those of us calling, emailing and asking for help. You have given us your time and your talent.

Please know you have our respect and we hope that everyone is showing you the kindness you deserve at this stressful and challenging time.

Your imagination allows us to connect and provide the safety that our families and employees expect.

You have helped us keep our Promise to the community and we thank you so much!

The comments are turned on below, if you want to say thanks to our IS team and give our heroes a shout-out, we would love to hear from you. (your name will be published).

So. Denton would like to give a shout out to the IT Department for being on top of this issue and getting the office/hospital back up in running so quickly!!
We know many worked all through the night with no sleep. We do not want their hard work to go unrecognized!
Thank you again to the IT Dept!

I want to give a huge shout out to Joseph Hunt. He worked tirelessly and VERY patiently with me for as long as it took, (A LONG TIME) to get my computer back to normal. I finally was up and running at 2:30 in the afternoon. I am not the most technical person, by any stretch of the imagination, and Joseph was patient and encouraging, and specific with his instructions. We finally got it fixed.

Three superheroes swooped down on the Southlake UCC/Multispecialty facility first thing Friday morning and truly saved the day! One of them told me he got a text at 2 am about it so he threw on his cape (in true superhero fashion!) and swooped in to help! We so appreciate the help of all of you so that we could help our little patients! God Bless!

Huge shoutout to Tamara Tobin! She was here before me at 720am and came right in ready to help identify impacted workstations. She even had to go over to Cardiology our neighbor, but continued to check-in with us and follow up to make sure no other workstations became affected. Great job IS team! We appreciate all of you!

A HUGH shout out to the IT team for their rapid response and on-site availability. My clinic opens for patients at 7:00 a.m. and IT staff was at the clinic before we even opened. They quickly got to work identifying impacted laptops and implementing the corrective action. I also want to give a shout out to Clay Sanker who worked behind the scenes on the voice mail and web interface program we use for our triage messages. Even though he was crazy busy, he kept me updated on the status of the programs and when all issues were resolved. Great job to all involved!

Thank you for coming to the rescue and helping us stay connected so that we can continue our work. Melissa was patient and full of insightful instruction which got my laptop up and running again. She was patient and informative, kind and thorough. I appreciate all your hard work and many wakeful hours helping system-wide team members with their connection concerns. Get some rest! We do have the best IS team in the entire world.
