UKG Pro Workforce Management to Replace Kronos

Hello everyone! I’m Kym French, director of Payroll Services. At Cook Children's, every major decision we make is centered around supporting our employees. Our goal is simple: to give you the tools and resources you need to focus on your best work—caring for our patients and each other.

We strive to make your day-to-day tasks easier. That’s why we’re making a major upgrade to our scheduling and timekeeping tools.

We are thrilled to announce that in February 2026, we will launch a new system: UKG Pro Workforce Management.

This powerful new platform will replace our current system, UKG Workforce Central, what some of you may still refer to as Kronos. Think of it as trading in an older model for a sleek, modern sports car designed for efficiency and ease of use.

This upgrade is an investment in respecting your time and creating a more consistent experience for everyone. The new UKG Pro WFM system will streamline timekeeping, scheduling, and reporting, making these essential processes simpler and more reliable. This system is designed to support every employee across all locations and roles equally.

The new UKG Pro WFM system will offer huge improvements, centered around making your life easier:

• Manage your schedule and timecard on the go! You can use the system through a web browser or a dedicated mobile app, giving you flexibility and control.
• Say goodbye to complex manual processes. The new system features built-in alerts, automation, and simplified workflows that help reduce errors and save you time. This is part of our commitment to safety—ensuring accurate records for everyone.
• A Modern Look and Feel: Enjoy a visually appealing experience with clean tiles, intuitive menus, and modern icons. It’s built to be easier on the eyes and simpler to navigate.

For now, you don't need to do anything immediately! Continue using UKG WFC as you normally would. Over the next several months, we will provide you with the knowledge and support you need. Our Project Team and leaders will be sharing continuous updates, including:

• Exactly what’s changing
• The timeline for these changes
• How we will support every caregiver through the transition
• Rest assured, comprehensive training will be provided well in advance so that everyone feels confident and ready before we officially go live with UKG Pro WFM.
