Upcoming Changes to the Event Reporting System

What: Our event reporting system, RLDatix, will have a new look and additional features. The vendor will still be RLDatix, but we will move to a cloud-based, more standardized platform.

Why: The cloud-based platform will apply quarterly upgrades without downtime. The new features and functionality allow for enhanced data extraction and improved workflows.

When: June 9, 2025

Key Changes and Updates:

• Updates to the Icon Wall Page
  • The layout/visual appearance has a clean and modernized design
  • Users will be able to pin frequently used icons
  • Forms will be sorted by category (Non-Patient Events and Patient Events)
  • New forms are available to better meet the reported safety concern
• General Updates
  • RLDatix has been integrated into EPIC, allowing staff to access it within the EMR
    • NOTE: This will allow for patient information to automatically pull into the form
  • New standardized naming for all locations within the organization
  • The most recent location search is saved at the top of the location field for quick reference
• File Management Activities (for applicable users)
  • High severity or potentially significant harm events will be color coded (shade of red) in the Info Center
  • Unopened files will be highlighted in a shaded yellow color, with bolded font
  • In the Info Center, there will be a new user-specific view indicating which files require your sign-off
