VIDEO: Behind the Scenes at Our Emergency Management Drill

To help ensure we are prepared to respond to a major emergency, Cook Children's recently conducted a drill at Medical Center-Fort Worth simulating a surge of patients and their distressed families. The drill was held in partnership with local emergency responders and we practiced how things might unfold to a disaster at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. 

Mock patients with simulated injuries were brought to the Emergency Department, where staff practiced patient care. Additional volunteers acted as family members, interacting with staff to simulate the reunification process.

These drills are crucial for ensuring our teams are equipped to handle any emergency situation.
