What You Should Do If You Have Symptoms or Test Positive for COVID-19

With the increase in COVID cases lately, many of you are testing positive for the first time and may not know what to do next. Here are a few quick reminders.

 If you are feeling ill or showing signs or symptoms while at work or home, please call or email our COVID-19 Center and let them know.

 This experienced group will work with you to schedule a test at Cook Children’s if you are at or near the medical center.

Hotline Hours:

Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (after hours, please leave a message. Your call will be returned the following day.)

Current weekend hours: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.

If you test positive for COVID-19, please take the following steps: 

  • Call or email the COVID-19 Center. 
  • Please provide your: 
  • Name 
  • Employee ID 
  • A phone number for someone to call you back 

If you had a positive at-home test: 

  • Please leave your contact information with the COVID-19 Center. 
  • After you speak with someone from the Center, a link will be sent to you. 
  • Complete the link that will allow you to upload your positive home test. 

Please remember the COVID-19 Center is very busy right now. We ask for your patience and kindness with dealing with this team that has worked hard throughout the pandemic. Thank you for your cooperation.
