Cook Children’s Infusion Center employees celebrated World Adoption Day on Nov. 9 by wearing special t-shirts and joining others across the globe in drawing a smiley face on their hands and sharing photos.

World Adoption Day is a day to “lift up all voices in the adoption community, to share your story, to reflect on your adoption journey, and to connect with those touched by adoption," according to WorldAdoptionDay.org.

Did You Know?

Cook Children’s Health Care System policy includes an Adoption Benefit to support and encourage families who seek adoption of children. You can be reimbursed for many adoption-related expenses, including adoption agency and legal fees. In addition, employees are eligible for up to two weeks of leave to complete the adoption, including for travel or court dates.
