World Creativity & Innovation Day 2022

may18 dayThe CCHCS Innovation Department was officially established in 2018. The bright idea was heralded by a Grand Rounds kick-off which you can review through this link.

Early excitement brought a host of unique and insightful concepts, and the program got off to a very good start. Then Covid-19! CCHCS, and the world as a whole, shifted focus and the pursuit of personal/private innovations gave way to innovations that aimed at stemming the tide of this lethal virus.  More than two years later and the world is finding a “new normal”. It is now time to put on your thinking cap and INNOVATE!

Introducing… World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID) -  April 21st.  Starting in 2023, on or around April 21st, each year we will celebrate this special day to remember and reflect on the importance of Innovation.  NOTE:  We had to adjust the 2022 date due to the Joint Commission visit, so this year we will celebrate WCID on May 18, 2022.

World Creativity and Innovation Day spotlights the role of innovation and creativity in each aspect of human development. This special day was founded to “encourage people to use new ideas, make new decisions, take new actions and achieve new outcomes that make the world a better place and make one’s place in the world better too”.

We all use innovative solutions each day, and it is our goal to remind you of the importance of tackling the challenges and inefficiencies you encounter each day.  We are interested in hearing about your great ideas for change. Do not rule out your “crazy ideas”, send them our way for review.  This link* will take you to the official submission form on the Innovation homepage.*Note you must be connected to the Network to access this page.
