YOUR VOICE MATTERS! SURVEY OPEN NOW THROUGH APRIL 30

On Tuesday, you should have received an email from Press Ganey inviting you to participate in the "Your Voice Matters" Employee Survey**. If you’ve already taken the survey – thank you! If you haven’t had a chance yet, we want to encourage you to take a few moments to share your thoughts and experiences by completing the survey sometime this month.

Your participation is so important. The feedback we receive will help us identify key priorities to address as a system as well as the smaller challenges, or “pebbles in your shoe,” that we can work on to make your day-to-day experiences better.

Please know that the survey is completely confidential. Press Ganey, as our trusted survey partner, ensures that individual responses or comments cannot be linked back to any one person.

Your voice truly matters, and your feedback helps shape the future of Cook Children's for all of us! The survey is open now through April 30. You can use the link in the email you received or you can visit the Team Experience survey page to scan the QR code. **Employees who started on or before January 1, 2025, received an invitation to take the survey. If you’re returning from leave this month and were employed before January 1, 2025 but didn’t receive an invitation, please contact hdesk@pressganey.com to activate your survey. They will send you the email invitation and you’ll have until April 30 to complete the survey.

Daily Safety Briefing Moves to Zoom on Monday, April 7

As Skype for Business is being retired, we will be transitioning our Daily Safety Briefing to Zoom beginning Monday, April 7.

You will be able to join the Cook Children’s Fort Worth Medical Center's daily call by either using a Zoom link or dialing in by phone using the Meeting ID and Passcode provided below.

Cook Children's Plants Pinwheels for Child Abuse Prevention Month

Fort Worth Campus Construction: Safety Precautions

Please be aware there will be an increase in traffic because of the construction happening on our Fort Worth Campus. 

We ask everyone to: 

• Stay on the sidewalks 
• Please do not cross streets without a permitted pedestrian crossing 
• Please look both ways for incoming traffic 
• Do not walk alongside a construction zone 

Please maintain awareness at intersections and crosswalks as there may be changes or closures on the other side of the street.

We want to ensure everyone's safety while we are making exciting additions to our campus!

Every April, American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN), dedicates one week to recognize the thousands of nurses who promote and protect the health, safety, and well-being of workers in the United States and around the globe. 

While most understand the function of a nurse, not everyone is aware of all the additional responsibilities that fall on an occupational and environmental health nurse’s role. From case management to health counseling to the oversight of legal and regulatory compliance, Occupational Health Nurses help to improve employees’ health and a business’s bottom line.

Uncomfortable in the Water? Register for Adult Beginner Swim Lessons

This workshop focuses on the fundamentals of being comfortable in the water. We start talking, then walking in the water, then learning to control our motion in the water, then protecting our eyes, ears, and noses in the water, then moving slowly toward floating skills. The goal is comfort, and we move at your pace.

It cost $15 for a workshop, and you may sign up for only one.
