Cook Children’s Health Care System Town Hall Scheduled for Dec. 18
Please join us for a Town Hall event at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, in Hochberger Auditorium, Medical Center-Fort Worth.
These events are designed to keep all of us informed and aligned about what has been accomplished by our teams across the system and what we are looking forward to in 2026. Leaders will connect our work to our Promise and celebrate the journey ahead.
For those whose schedules or locations do not permit attendance, the event will be recorded and posted on the scrolling banner on the homepage of CookNet and emailed later that afternoon.
Take control of your upgrade: Install M365 Apps today
Cook Children’s is saying goodbye to Office 2016 and moving to the secure, modern Microsoft 365 desktop applications. While this change is necessary for our upcoming transition to Windows 11, we want to give you control over when the change happens.
Please be aware that automatic installations for all remaining devices will begin in January. But why wait for January? You have the flexibility to self-install the M365 apps now at a time that fits your schedule.
By visiting the Software Center and clicking "Install" today, you can choose a time that works best for you—perhaps during a lunch break or at the end of your shift—rather than being subject to the automatic push schedule next month.
It's December and we've had some chilly days, but so far no snow or ice. But rest assured, Cook Children's is preparing to help make sure that facilities are ready to handle winter weather if it arrives so that patients can be served and employees can get to work safely.
We monitor weather forecasts closely and if unsafe road and weather conditions exist, we will activate plans for staff to stay in between shifts.
For now, it's a good idea for you to think about how you and your family can be prepared for winter weather.
We know the teams at Cook Children's work tirelessly, and we were so excited to see how you all paused to spread holiday cheer! We received festive photos from our employees across the state of Texas.
