Practice Our Promise Gold: Cook Children's Primary Care Allen

Allen-PromiseAward-Jan24-14

Cook Children's Allen was honored to receive the Practice Our Promise Gold Award, recognizing the achievement of the highest Likelihood to Recommend (LTR) score in Primary Care. The LTR score serves as a gauge for patient trust and experience, reflecting the confidence our patients place in the care provided by Todd Johnson, M.D. and the team in Allen. Winning the Practice Our Promise Gold Award reflects the exceptional patient experiences offered at Dr. Johnson's clinic, leading to positive recommendations from their patients.

To celebrate this accomplishment, leaders from Cook Children's Physician Network visited Allen to commend the staff for consistently exceeding expectations in delivering exceptional patient experiences.

"This location has maintained consistently high-quality patient experience from the beginning," said Robert Goodwill, Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of Cook Children's Physician Network. “What a great reputation this gives us in the Allen community.”

Patient experience is not only pivotal for enhanced health care outcomes but also builds trust and loyalty between patients and health care providers.

"I think we try to put ourselves in the same position as the family," Dr. Johnson shared regarding the clinic's award achievement. “I’m a dad with many kids, and I try to understand what the patient family is going through and what we would like in that situation.”

Dr. Johnson emphasizes, “I want the patients to feel like this is their medical home. That we go through what they go through, and that we know how their medical care is going.”

Tasha Rivers, CMA, CPC, Practice Manager at Allen, elaborates, “We're collaborating to ensure our patients have the best experience while they're here. When everyone takes ownership of overall patient care rather than just focusing on individual tasks, we foster a high morale around the clinic.”

Allen expansion coming in 2024

As we celebrate the clinic's achievement, we’re also pleased to announce the expansion of this clinic to 10 patient rooms in Summer 2024. This expansion will enable Dr. Johnson and the staff to cater to more patients from the surrounding community, providing even more families with access to high-quality health care.

Reflecting on the impact of this expansion, Dr. Johnson notes, “We're going to be able to offer more service areas to Fairview, Lucas, McKinney, Allen, Wiley, Sachse, Murphy, Princeton, and the whole area north as we go up to Melissa and Anna. This entire north-south corridor along 75 is a significant growth corridor, and it's exciting to be able to provide these families with good health care access through Cook Children's.”

We take pride in the achievements of Cook Children's Allen and the positive influence it has on our patients and employees. Through the dedication and commitment of our staff, they continue to provide exceptional care for the communities they serve in North Texas.

I think we try to put ourselves in the same position as the family.
